High Definition Nozzle Architecture (HDNA) is HP’s breakthrough inkjet printing technology that brings a new level of image quality to production printing, while also increasing productivity. It is available now, implemented in the new HP A53 Printheads. Most HP PageWide Web Presses can be upgraded to use HDNA1, and HDNA is built into the new HP PageWide Web Press T470 & T480.

With 2400 nozzles per inch, High Definition Nozzle Architecture implemented in HP A53 Printheads produces outstanding image quality, with twice the native resolution of the earlier printhead generation and dual drop weights per color. HDNA improves image quality with smoother color transitions and lower image grain. HDNA allows users to achieve higher color print speeds to meet short production windows without compromising print quality. Its exceptional versatility enables a broad range of applications, strongly driving business growth. HDNA and the ability to upgrade existing presses to HDNA prove yet again that HP is the smart investment for production inkjet solutions.

Step up the color


ColorPRO Technology is an industry-standard paper treatment designed to enable fast absorption of ink and fast drying times — ideal for high-speed printing on HP PageWide Web Presses. HP ColorPRO papers visibly improve inkjet print quality compared to results on standard uncoated offset papers (without using HP Bonding Agent) and on other inkjet treated papers.

HP collaborates with industry-leading paper manufacturers to jointly develop papers designed to provide top-quality performance for digital printing applications such as high-speed variable-content printing. The rapidly expanding portfolio of HP papers with ColorPRO Technology includes a variety of high- performance substrates across a range of basis weights with different finishes.
